See all that solder at the joint? Bad sign
Replace one part to reveal the next weak link

Mastering my new torch is a single challenge among many. While I’d rather move ahead with new, what I’m vague on is the past and its parts.

Decades ago I ripped out all pressurized plumbing and TOTALLY simplified things (for a slew of reasons). Worked great in its capacity, as the details crumbled away.

I had a much more catastrophic freeze than I recall, which I believe led me to scrap the original system. That makes it sound simple, and we’ll leave it at that.

More and more evidence reveals itself, which means more and more pieces I thought (HOPED) would be worthy, AREN’T. It’s part of the puzzle, and a marvelous opportunity to let go of the past. I have to keep identifying weak links, then replace them.

While blogging recently I hoped to avoid being Captain Obvious on a Catastrophic Asteroid, but last night I heard myself say “Ya find the biggest leak first!” Which in turns leads to the next…

Despite the evolving weak links, it’s progress, and reminding me of why I scrapped the old system. I may miss that simplicity, but year round water is now a reality that system couldn’t provide. Onward, where will the next leak be? Stay tuned…
