Rather quickly

Has it become “that time of year.” The matriarch of the family I shared last night’s salmon with said “It feels like we went from summer, to this…” (referencing her answer to my “How’s your day?”, “Dark and Cold!”)

September was, well, September, you could almost call it second August but the humidity is gone, as are most of the bugs and things begin to shift. October flew by, feeling more like an extension of September, dry and not hot, rare frosts if at all, some rain and it’s November (suddenly almost half over as the next consumer holiday is vividly more present) and there’s some hail here and there, freezing temps on the regular unless it’s raining, and short days exacerbated by daylight savings stupidity.

Yup, the mattress pre warmer is installed. I don’t sleep with it on, and I don’t need it warm when I get it, but if the Purple is cool/cold, it’s thermal mass saps my limited heat and hinders the onset of sleep. Not a welcome thing…

A later start today got the kitchen ripped apart before a light delivery day. Tomorrow I’m zipping W3LLY into town for a laundry run in the morning (Sunday looks to be wet, mix of freezing stuff, good day to be plumbing and wiring!) and I hope to the nail the frost free spigot and insulated enclosure. It has to happen before I can plumb inside, as plumbing is linear…

It’s dark, work is done, the fire’s doing its job, it’s below freezing and I’m practically counting the seconds before I hit the pre warmed hay!!
