Well…

(Sorry but attempting some humor in a less than ideal situation)

Yesterday afternoon a team member returned to see what was going on. “Not much” was the answer, not anymore than before.

This morning the team (a great father son combo!) returned to see what was going on. “Not much” was the answer, not anymore than before. Barely a half a gallon per minute. Pittance…

The boss man knocked on my door after they had pulled all the rods out of the well to talk about the next step, if one was to be taken.

As is I’m looking at about $14K, almost 50% higher than the high estimate. Water fracking is another $3K. We talked about it, after some conversation (and me practically weeping) he said they could frack for 1/2 price if it happened today. Full price if they return (and reposition the drilling rig etc)

He obviously isn’t pleased with the results of the drilling, and even added that if the fracking doesn’t improve things, no charge. That fit in with my angle on the conversation, “I don’t like to gamble (and feeling like I’ve done plenty already on this project)”

The well is full from the water truck which is now topping off while the frack pump is collected nearby in Alexander. It makes a positive difference “9 out of ten times” so going to go with it.

I’m not crossing my fingers, I’m watching objectively, not reading into things, allowing the process (whilst secretly inside screaming, pulling metaphorical hair out, shaking a fist at “the gods” and questioning far too many things!)

It’s going to be a lean winter regardless of how much water the fracking increases. I’ll have water, just not plentiful, robust. Ah life, ain’t you a tricky bugger…
