The gray dipstick on the left is stock, came with the generator. Plastic sucks for many reasons.
The tube on the right is threaded on one end and fit like a glove off the boat from China. It helps drain the oil out of the generator and it’s housing. Said oil isn’t filthy, I’ll change it before winter sets in though, keeping an eye on it while it gets weekly exercise.
The red aluminum dipstick in the middle did NOT fit off the boat from China, disappointing but not surprising. I carefully filed the threads so that it does
