I took the pains

To (barely) set up the chop saw. I wanted parallel cuts top and bottom on the support. I fasted the maple support (with uneven ends from previous use, and using too small a saw. It worked then…) to a board to keep it still, in place. The chop saw cleanly cut smooth surfaces VERY CLOSE to symmetrical, parallel.

This surface will have many tells to tell from its adventures here on the screened in porch!
