Sacrificed

An old drop cloth for a sunshade. Pretty easy to forget how well the sun heats when it doesn’t break through the clouds a week at a time…

All the vegetation I blasted yesterday is drying right out and smells wonderful. The skeeters are coming on hard. Some sun and heat this week will knock the black flies back while pumping the leaves up, harden them off!

Evidence of strong winds reminded me of how nature prunes, fresh leaves and branch tips were strewn about. I buzzed them up with the old leaves, vegetation and smoothing out the peat/sphagnum moss. The transition from shaggy fuzzy growth to the gently undulating ground amazes me
