The first whack

Is always a chore. This year it’s late, and because of all that rain, it’s a beast! It’s a tricky one too, as I’m navigating around aging daffs (I’ll start knotting the greens soon but blossoms abound) and summer stuff is just starting to show.

A moment’s sweep of the whacker can stop some nascent beauty effortlessly. I’ve already collided with some evasive dandies 😵‍💫. I found a head yesterday, like one that went to seed and discharged (AKA blew its wad) and it was stab in the gut….

I could have a separate blog about the dandies, kinda niche though. There are plenty (like MOST) that could give a rat’s patootie about the intricacies of dandy hunting. Nuff sed
