I’m gearing up for Wi-Fi too, it’s been a fair bit of consideration. Pros and cons galore, if there wasn’t the cheapskate $25/mo plan I wouldn’t even consider it! Really it comes down to music, motorcycle videos, having dedicated devices and not switching the hotspot on and off/worrying about plowing through my hotspot allotment.
No contract, if I feel it sucking me in I can drop it. My refurb router is showing up early this week (versus renting one from Spectrum) and the modem is waiting for me at FXE (we move a TON of Spectrum boxes, so instead of having a peer deliver mine I begged them to just leave at the station).
Hopefully that stuff will hide nicely below the shelves or blend in inconspicuously…
The snow is starting to pile up out there, I’m having tea and about to stretch, wrap the weekend.
