Past couple days I’ve had ZERO intrusions into the shoes, from pebbles to loose snow etc, it’s splendid! I forgot how well they cover, and thus protect, the laces from snags and the dreaded “step-on untie” debacle!
Deep cold coming next week and pondering ankle and lower leg warmth. Some long wool socks with heels blown out would only need minor modification to become gator like (with the lower portion hidden under the Dirty Girls). I’m contemplating building/sewing some higher and warmer gators with the Dirty Girls as a guide.
Winter projects are good, but I’m not sure I want a sewing machine in my small space. I’m craving motorcycling and miss at least wrenching….
