In the meantime may this suffice. While researching aforementioned chain and sprocket things, I became aware of “automatic” chain oilers. Yes, rabbit hole!
Long story short, the green biodegradable chain oil in the above picture is made by a company (in Europe of course because too many OTHER countries DON’T care) that also makes chain oilers. They are complicated though. Cool, but complicated.
The back thing is a very simple gadget (compared to the fancy ScottOilers) that lubricates the motorcycle chain manually. A measured twist of the top creates pressure and a short drizzle hits the chain.
I’ll keep it that simple for now. Chain and sprocket sets for btwxd and MINCX have been ordered. When they get installed, so will these chain oiling systems. I can tell you’re almost as excited as I am!
