Winter layer

Of fluid film. I’m glad I didn’t wait to start the process. Having done a coating in the spring showed me where high wear sections are, as well as softened up some cakes of rust and protective layers (that all too often KEEP the rust in as much as they prevent it). I’m pushing my little pancake compressor, took a break for a lovely mega-lunch. (I’m eager to get the food thing sorted on Somerset, but being patient…)

Next level attempt. The rocker switch toggle lasted but a day stuck right on the panel, not surprised. I’ve embedded a small screw right in the middle of the panel now, attempting to adhere the same stone mushroom to it. The adhesive popped right of the plastic on the dash, but clung in places to the stone. Superglue will be next, and may have been better to start with, but that stuff can be easily regrettable, it’s not forgiving at all…

It’s bittersweet (being) here, knowing the weekends are numbered. It’s warm enough for a ride but I’ve enough on my plate here. Looking forward to hosting Deedles in a couple weeks over Thanksgiving, he’s in Syracuse this weekend exploring campus there, another college he’s applying to.

I’m also savoring the quiet and comfort here. I’m keenly aware of how busy I’m about to be delivering, it’s daunting and I’m a little anxious about it. One package at a time…
