Pretreating a new coat. As a rule I generally don’t wear cotton. Unless it’s treated. No forever chemicals here (clothing waterproofing is a very common use of them!). I found a couple bars (made by the company that makes the coat) of the “wax” deeply discounted online, ironically from southern Maine!
The hood, shoulders and outer arm areas are a heavier cloth, those get treated first. Rubbing the wax bar uniformly, massaging it in and around, then meting it into the fabric. I used less than half of the first bar, going a little light for uniform coverage and penetration. I’d rather have more little layers than one fatty gommed on there!
Got a call from FedEx, not bad news but not good, YET. My background check is due for completion Thursday, it’s a critical hurdle. I’m not concerned about clearing it, but the company that does it for FedEx takes their sweet time, hey, they’re contractors, that can do what they want…
Following wircus tonight I have three days off. Lots of little projects going on, might squeeze in a ride Wednesday as the weather looks conducive. Off to wircus as dark settles, OYE!!!!
