It didn’t “rain” but the top layer is moist. We had 12 or so hours of drizzly mist. I won’t do diddly for the water table, but the top layer of rot is full steam ahead. Earlier I was watching a salamander a foot up a trunk of a yellow birch (with all that curly peeling bark to weave around and stay moist) explore the now damp layers.
It’ll be warm enough tonight to not only warrant a moto commute, but the little bike btwxd! It’s cooler on the coast, but still mild!
