HUGE relief and motivator.
Absurd(ly lovely) weather extends the Indian Summer on into November. The leaves are dry so raking is about to commence, but as they aren’t ALL quite down yet, I’ll keep watching.
Had a couple fires in the stove last night (after not burning all day), the second with a hearty chunka hardwood, and man does that stove pump the heat out! I’m still leery of the glass top but whatever that material is (it’s NOT just glass!!) way impresses me.
The first fire just kinda heats things up, get’s the ball rolling. It’s drawing better, little upgrades here and there
I stuffed some less than perfect fiberglass insulation into crevices at the base of the chimney liner. It reinforces how little leaks here and there, no matter how little, really add up. The stove doesn’t rip like the OG J-Tube, but I’m willing to work with the balance of pros and cons. Cooking on it is ridiculously easier!!!
