Surfing that line between being in and working for the present, and planning ahead for the future from the moment.
Another ally has “left” Mason’s. I don’t know (or want to learn) the details, but when the manager jokes about “pretty soon it’s just going to me and [the guy <raging alcoholic > Mason’s sent to help set up and support the start up], we’ll be running the place by ourselves” followed by hearty, hollow laughter, the writing is all over the wall.
I’ve ignored it, I’ve worked against it, I’ve worked within it, now I’m working my way out of it, one way or another!
I’m hoping/expecting to get FedEx details tomorrow, Monday! I can picture saying (to caustic manager) “I’m unable Friday and Sunday will be my last shift” and just leave it at that.

On a brighter note, I went out on a spring water run with the clean lubed adjusted chain, went around the long way and had to bee-line home to be on time to wircus. I’m headed out momentarily (after a MINCX chain clean lube and adjust) to head directly there, fill mucho jugs (I can haul seven on MINCX!) and then determine the way home. Taking some luxury moments on two wheels while the weather is cooperative and I’m living here at the P~pad.
Change IS the only constant…
