While it may not

Appear to be monumental, the black powder the brush has dragged out, it’s monumental to me. That section of pipe has been buried in the bowels of the bench for over a decade. The soot and gunk wasn’t blocking the flu gasses, but impeding. It also hampers heat transfer to the radiant floor system.

The soot visible is also only what the brush pulled out. I’ll get the vacuum in there and extract the rest. I’m tempted to put a T at the intersection for further cleaning. Pondering the pros and cons
