After returning home evidence of rain (woohoo!) I fiddled with the flu. I have achieved a smooth connection through the chimney!
It’s getting fiddly now with the connection from the stove. The copper tubing that is part of heat transfer to the floor is going to need “shaping” around the adjusted flu system. This week I’ll be dialing in the secondary air intake so I can reassemble the stove, which will then allow the final steps of the flu project. (The stovetop will be the final step, very fiddly, but a welcome challenge when it’s time)
The week looks very dry so I’m not feeling urgent about getting the split wood under cover. I can peck away at that while making progress on the stove.
It was a little fiddly at work last night after the line excused themselves prematurely. It had been a slow day, and early dinner no better. They made the call, the B Team stepped in as the dinner rush hit. We waded through, some tempers blossomed, but the rush subsided and we set to right the line for closing and were out in record time. The Pirate Festival in Eastport consumed our crowd, no matter…
I indulged in an evening of music to clear things up (including the above mentioned stove project) and now having a quiet afternoon, easing into my “Friday” shift and wallowing amidst the late summer splendor.
