The firebox is in workable condition. The secondary air intake (that finalizes combustion and the secret weapon of the riserless core) is in rough shape. The vertical cylinder is special metal that resists heat (and while expensive, holds up)! The steel it was welded to, it’s toast, and I ponder the fix. I may visit the welder that fabricated the intake, I don’t know if he stocks material.
