I got more done on the well head. Pondering and planning the roof, top covering the cover part

Another abbreviated shift found me wrapping up the necessary covering. Instead of a fixed roof, had the brilliant concept to make it hinge. I want to have enough room to get in and it of the well

But considering simplicity why not just leave it covered? I shifted the opening so a to not create shade from the roof. The hatch has a pleasant bevel on it for better fit, ensuring it also goes back the same way when removed.
This covering is a vast improvement, mostly just that the lumber has been treated, and the top is nice one by pine versus the original thin plywood. This version will outlive me, pretty sure I’m not going to complicate it further, spend more time and money than necessary.
In the vein of “less but better”…
