W3lly’s turn. Amazing that I’ve put 10K miles on it in as many months. It was the two round trips to PA for the most part… I’ve changed the oil once, and the dash light is beckoning for the second. I’ll upgrade the cabin and engine air filters while at it. Eliminating throwaway filters in the process!
My firewood hasn’t shown up, so I’m going to run into Bangor for plumbing supplies (to finally deal with the slow leaking pump set up) and I’ll grab some ash on the way back.
Clutch parts are on order and shipping soon as summer is on the wane. The small bikes have done splendidly, MINCX will come in handy as things cool off. Yes, I’ve missed riding it, but the mileage is comparable to the small bikes, so it’s all good.
Yesterday I took the long way home from work, up the Sunrise Trail to the 19 Road and then logging roads from the Wesley line up around Fox and Day Hill. The Rally did well, exemplifying how much more capable btwxd is, but it was wonderful doing 90+% dirt on the way home. No dust, two vehicles, total bliss commuting through the August woods!
Gotta hook up the trailer and get moving…
