I’ve been appreciating

This beautiful creature. Froad? Tog? Not sure what it is, but its colors and textures are extraordinary. It’s been hanging round the area where the insect collector is, the other day it was gently moving around on a vertical window (preposterous for a human!) and the other day it was perched ON the rim of the collector itself (which is suspended in air, less than a foot from the window!). I went to take a photo of it there, brilliant positioning on its part, but it wasn’t there today. I inspected and cleaned the collector to make sure it wasn’t IN it.

The collector is doing a bang up job, including tons of moths. It’s hard to feel bad about them on the level that they have thousands of OTHER acres that could be dwelling. Ask the ants, rodents and other critters that get too close to the house, yah, they enter the kill zone and it’s lights out…
