When I remembered that Ellsworth is a little closer. Sadly 193 from Deblios to Cherryfield was under going serious construction. I wasn’t held up, but the road bed is being rebuilt so it wasn’t easy going.

I found what I needed to undertake MINCX’s clutch replacement. Shopped at the Hannaford while doing laundry nearby (the latter a relative marvel, affordable clean and big). Town definitely has a “from away” vibe though, very tourist heavy. It’s summer in Maine!
A guest has delayed plans until later in the week so adjusting plans, not making many, sorting out priorities and focusing on being present for work. Friday the General Manager and Sous Chef are away at a well deserved concert. We’ll be fine, not sure I’d call the kitchen a “well oiled machine” but it’s functioning well enough!
I have two day shifts this week, focusing more on prep than line work. I’m getting better on the pizza station but it’s A LOT, balancing timing speed and quality. I’m, as my boss the past two summers referred to me, “A Prep God” so it’ll be cool to exercise that.
Come daylight I’ll be wapping out the knobbies on btwxd (and sort of “wishing” I could just buy smaller lighter wheels and street tires for “supermoto” mode. Street tires and smaller lighter rims change the bike’s behavior radically, and would make the transition between dirt and street much faster. Perhaps in time, but getting MINCX spruced up makes MUCH more sense as it’s the perfect bike for 192, laundry and groceries!)
FOr now, fresh sheets on my bed and the loft. Deedles keeps thinking they don’t need changing, but it’s sorta like motorcycle oil, at some point (seasonably or with use) it’s good to just move on with the old and refresh!
Fair bit of car today, and W3lly’s AC works a treat! I s’pose that’s balance, yesterday was all about dirt motorcycling, today I did errands on the slab. Maine is a beautiful state, I was fortunate to ply route 182 past Tunk Lake, Mountain. Of course I would’ve preferred two wheels, but balance Balance BALANCE…
