I’m hooking the pump up, as is. I priced a stainless steel hand pump and disappointed that it’s $1700! I mean it’s great that it’s US made, but for that price I could have a submersible pump and pressurized running water… (which I’m reluctant to do in a hand dug well that goes dry now and again. I’m predicting this summer will be one of those times, likely come August.)

I had to fiddle with the south end a little. Years ago I accidentally dropped the snoot end of a baster down the pipe while removing water during the closing procedure. The plastic didn’t float…

I ran a hose into the line and presto! That allowed me to measure the length of the pipe, 30’.
There are a slew of little things I’d like to do to the system, a variety of improvements, but just going to keep it simple for now. I’ve been living with a bucket on the counter, that limitation is old. I was waiting to see how I felt about upgrades etc. …. Not waiting, not changing, running with it, and back to “running” water soon!
