Driving around today seemed sorta silly, seeings how I just drove 12 hours (with breaks) to get here.

Counterclockwise, the squiggle is a rough idea, similar to the PA Wilds BDRX Loop I rode last spring, but today I more circumnavigated it.
This area of PA is known as one of the darkest in the country. That’s sort of a double entendres as it is huge Trump country, but it’s also not densely populated as the terrain AINT HAVIN IT!
It’s stunning, wrinkly more than mountainous, but I’ll be working on how to explain it. Very little standing water, so many criks, creeks streams and rivers, it all moving all the time!
As I loop back around to set up camp for the work weekend, I’m treating myself to a little belated birthday dinner. It helps knowing I have a job waiting for me.
A couple more days at Happy Acres will pay for gas, perhaps endear me to the owner. We’ve had a few frank talks and see eye to eye, I could see swinging by in the future for a day or three of work

Relatively MEH burger but it was fun to sit on a sidewalk in LockHaven and watch the world go by. It’s been in the 80’s since I left Sunday so the leaves and peepers are pumping!
Boss called and wants me in three hours early, so the tent is set up and I’m stretching and going down. My penultimate shift at Happy Acres 2024…
