On this southeast corner, and the hosta was very much in the way. Last spring I just stuck in a spot when I rediscovered it, under a winter cover bare root.
15 feet away, this spot is due south, but will shaded by the pear, the trunk visible to the left. It won’t be in the way at all!
The offending bracket has been covered and flagged, a temporary measure. The next few days/weeks will shape its future!
