In DeedleDoodleDaily land. It happens when things get sorta routine, perhaps also weather dependent…
The days are longer, we’ve had some mild days, but still smack dab in the middle of February…(where the average day temp around here is 30!)
Saturday I went for a local ride, the long way to the hardware store. I was able to replace a stripped phillips head screw on my front brake reservoir cover.
Sunday was a legit ride, buzzing up the east side of the river, through Dresden,Vassalboro, Gardiner and Augusta (ROTORY!!) and on to Winslow to Big G’s Deli for some grub. It wasn’t epic, but it was fun, therapeutic, and a great way to spend an afternoon.
The new rear gear hauler was stellar, didn’t budge. It’s not full of heavy stuff, but pretty full nonetheless. Stayed put and I barely noticed it back there. The tank bag was a hit too, barely noticed that too, until I fit my leftovers in it, and that says a lot given the magnitude of a sandwich from Big G’s!!

Light is right…for me. My pants from AS (Adventure Spec) are due to arrive tomorrow, rounding out the kit. Might splurge on the rain pants designed to layer over them as I don’t have proper rain pants, but not rushing.
The exciting news is that Deedles is driving himself to the Harpbin Saturday morning for an overnight visit! Stay tuned for that, I need to grocery shop, but man am I excited to hav his company! In just over a month he’ll be seventeen…
