Storm blew through

Some 1500 folks are without power, I’m savoring the mild breeze and a morning Smocha (a Mocha with LMNT chocolate salt/electrolyte pack) finding the irony almost comical.

When the power went out in the past, a stunning silence would pervade, paralleling the dark (in the event it occurred at night.). I recall some decades ago being outside at night at FarFields and experiencing a little power hiccup. In stereo, on cue, the drone of generators coming to life (albeit it only for the obligatory warm up and shut off)

Nowadays, especially after the ice storm of ‘98, power delivery may be interrupted occasionally, but it doesn’t really go out as so many have generators. So much for silence, a break from the thrum of consumption.

Add irony, as I pen this entry, the “quiet” has returned, which I’ll infer has to do with the power returning!

Just about time to don moto gear and head into work, funky schedule ensues, loam complete at bank, check tomorrow, Venza Wednesday!
