There is an old school “attic” fan, with metal louvered vent, it sucks out, a lot!! Mouse messages fall down now and again, so sealing it up for winter is a double win.
Is an an old forced hot air vent, it was filthy, now cleaned and sealed from the crawl space.
All the way at the other/opposite end of the cabin is another vent, it was less filthy (due in part to only having one/half the louvers) and is now cleaned and also sealed.
Cleaning corners and ramping up the efficiency as heating season is nigh! I have turned on the heater, baking the summer dust and getting a feel for it. It’s bereft of a fan so going explore options for moving the heat around the tiny space.
Around my landpeeps’ backyard fire last night conversation wove around the flames and smoke, autumn and the coming season a theme. We all bemoaned the also nigh daylight savings time reality…
