My little winter rent! I’m not sure it’s “B” and will keep you posted, in fact I’m not certain it’s 43, but it will be close. Almost as close as I am to work

While 20 minutes isn’t bad, closer would be better. Speed limit not over 45 the whole way, and I don’t even have to go into Brunswick proper, just slide into Bowdoin from the south.

Zooming out for perspective. My rent on Orrs (AKA the cabartment) is to the right of Harpswell Neck. As the crow flies southwest to Peaks my desire for a Whaler will be renewed, somewhat, but not so much as the plans for not being there during summer all already in the works. My landpeeps said I could store my stuff (in the shed/workshop, top most photo) in the event I wasn’t around and they could do short term rentals (making good money and having friends and family stay locally without over burdening their little family home.)
Clearly the MidCoast area has yet to loosen it’s grip on me. I start the 18th and will work Sat&Sun @MBL until close (10.1 or so). My schedule is 10a-6p M-F, stocking the salad bar and making sandwiches, and any other sort of kitchen prep stuff needed to be done. The kitchen is three stories, baking on top, butcher, meat locker and storage in the basement, main kitchen and dining hall ground floor. It’s modern, clean, BIG and full of people and food and large walk-ins (refrigerators) all over the place. It’s a food maze I’m looking forward to learning, navigating, dancing, producing in.
Posting these pics and details are helping me process, digest the fact that it is, indeed, fact. Talk about clicking together, practically overnight! More details as they evolve, I’m currently recouping from a VERY busy weekend, replete with the 50th bday party for boss lady Andréa Saturday and then Sunday night listening to Phish play live in Denver (with time zone and weather delay = late night!!!)
