A first!

Suited up and rolling out of Machias at noon, off to explore the Sunrise Trail

We took a break riverside in Cherryfield for lunch, then pushed on to Ellsworth. Drank some water, brief chat by the rail yard, and headed back up the trail. We noticed how much dustier the rally and its rider were than btwxd, so the rally took point position, and a proud papa watched a strong rider navigate the trail. Dream come true, why I bought the rally!!

We logged 117 miles, had an absolute and safe blast. Deedles got us home before dark and we pondered unloading the trailer as rain was coming. Veggie noodle bowl and grilled salmon scraps fortified us, we unloaded the trailer in the dark (boy do insects LOVE an LED headlamp!) and tucked the bikes back into the house.

Pretty much best day ever!!! I’m tickled to have a riding buddy
