In with the new. My pilgrimage to the Meat Mecca

It’s a pitiful picture, perhaps perfect, in that it’s hardly possible to express my amazement and gratitude to MapleLaneFarm in Charleston. I was having a terrific conversation with a staff person (the gal behind the register was a cute and helpful local until another gal popped onto the retail floor, clearly “part of the family”) until the news of “a cow is out” shifted my service back to “counter girl”.
They have these hilarious “packages” of there products, basically groups of products under names like “You look like something I drew with my left hand”, I’m forgetting the name of the first bundle on my my list, but I added “You’re as disappointing as an unsalted pretzel” to round out my selection.

And the freezer is almost full! Dropped a bag of Clynk off, shopped for greens and sourdough, scooped up an Amato’s meatball sub on the way out of town, back to hot quiet woods, breeze is blowing.
I did a quick PUNT whilst in town and actually navigated successfully from TriTown Pizza/Broadway to the Airport Mall to start with some new

Life in the grome pond. The last of this winter’s goldfish expired (ahem) and so have upgraded. Fantail something or others and these little members of the minnow family. May they flourish…
I s’pose I could’ve called the post surf, sky and turf!
