To motocamping devotee, every night before turning in I cleaned my helmet, mirrors and other odds and ends. It was the first time I had ridden consecutive days, let alone on primarily dirt.
Different bike, different helmet, but a worthy routine. The road is a grimy place, lest I account for all the particals, vapors, insects etc. Stuff gets dirty, but gently and to many, not really.
When it’s on your head, your vision affected by it, the way the light hits, moisture in the helmet, variables I have some control over. The cleaner the helmet, the fewer the variables, the more ocular clarity I have.
It matters, you see how people use cars….
