Despite being inundated

With clothing, the quest for comfort continues, and is drawing to a close.

It’s hot and humid here in the woods, even saw some smoke filtered sun for a little bit today. I weedwkacked in a synthetic t, soaked it and took a break because the plastic fastening eye for the harness broke on the whacker. The whacker was really working, the vegetation is THICK this year, working to keep it at bay. (The fix is in the works, friggin plastic…)

I walked to the store in a fresh cotton shirt, even sporting shorts, moving ahead of the bugs. There was a small package for me thereand I did a “Huh?” and loaded it up with my tonic, lime and the only way some ladies in my family consume coffee, some ice coffee ice cream.

I had recently been searching for merino tshirts and found a decent deal, cheap is relative, but it wasn’t through Amazon it was cruelty free, there were some lovely colors and a first time shopper discount. So, as the title mentions, despite being inundated with clothing, I bought some merino wool tshirts. Yes, good lord, I know, I’ve been collecting them since highschool, and actually recently turning a blind eye here and there to cool ones I’d love to don, sport…

I shed the cotton t whilst pouring a G&T (with citrus LMNT electrolytes of course!) after opening the small package and eliciting an “OH” (I haven’t received any shipping details on the order…)

Color oooooh, check! Comfort? It dawned on me thatI had changed, and was cooler than cotton. Looking at the win! More like SPORTING the win. One selling/bragging point of merino wool is it’s capacity to “thermoregulate” and that function is right up my alley. It also boasts antimicroial abilities, shunning stank. Not holding my breath there, but if it’s true, the grand slam for the win…

Bamboo fabrics are surfacing, with similar claims. It’s potentially more sustainable, lower impact than wool, but I’ve only seen sheets advertised and I’m, guess what, inundated with those too…
